Our Gym
New Parks Community Boxing Gym was established in April 2008, to help curb antisocial behavior and crime in the local area. The gym is solely run by volunteers who are qualified boxing tutors, first aider and fully CRB checked. The gym has a friendly atmosphere and approach and is open to anyone over the age of 5 years, regardless of race, gender or disability.
We work with individuals, schools, youth groups/clubs, businesses and other community groups/organisations that provide youth provision.
Training
We provide boxing and fitness coaching and training including the ABA national boxing awards, as well as one to one coaching and mentoring for groups or individuals, including advice on nutrition and health related issues. There is also the opportunity to compete at an amateur boxing level, if desired.
Courses
ABA boxing tutoring courses for interested individuals are also held, which then entitles the tutor to deliver ABA boxing awards in all different settings. First aid, and other sports related education programs, and basic education training programs are soon to be held.
